Do both xx

Depends if you have completely regular cycles or not I ovulate a different time every month so I would completely miss my ovulation day if I just relied on Temps. As most cycles it’s day 18 and my latest has been cd32 but that was after a miscarriage so that was longer but each month is different I wouldn’t know unless I did OPK’s first and then use the temp to confirm ovulation. This month I didn’t have a temp dip before my ovulation so I would of missed it x
Also just because you get peak on and ovulation test It does not mean that you have actually ovulated if that makes sense so using the temperature is the only way you will actually know that you are actually ovulating other than that getting a blood test after your positive OPK from your doctor x
Oh god, I actually know zero about this kinda stuff and do intend to do some reading around it, but as of right now I’m pretty lost haahahaha. I’ll definitely go off what you said about getting both oh my gosh. Dr Google it is. I’m feeling a little overwhelmed seeing you say like you would of missed your ovulation had you relied only on temps. I truthfully thought it was almost a stupid question and it would be a resounding BBT test answer. Thank you, thank you so much for your time and patience to write all that and tell me even about your vulnerablity, your miscarriage that is. Best wishes to you and your family, and what is it people say??? Emmm.. all the baby dust to youu? Hahaha that’s cringe, but I do wish you wellll! ✨

Oh my gosh congratulations!!!✨ I will be wishing you so well. Thank you so much, I really appreciate that. I definitely don’t want to be bothering you during this time hahaha but again, thank you so much!
Thank you Iv had 2 miscarriages this year but I’m currently just over 4 week pregnant so I have to be hopefull that this one wants to stay 🤞🤞 good luck on your journey and feel free to inbox me if you want to ask anything Iv literally read it all xx
Just start off with the clearblue 4 day ovulation test as it saves all the guessing about if lines are dark as opks always have 2 lines on them x

Ohhh great ok, I definitely will!!! 🥳 thank you so much again!
Do both, the LH strips predict ovulation and the BBT thermometer will (almost certainly) confirm ovulation xx

Ohhh ok, get both! That seems to be the overwhelming consensus I’ve heard across here and messages. Thank you so much!
Hey I have irregular periods and PCOS so I’ve been using just BBT for the past few weeks. Ive avoided the strips as for me they may not work. I bought the Premom thermometer that I got from Amazon and I’m UK based :) But the way I understand it is that BBT confirms that ovulation has happened. So past tense. Ovulation strips tell you when it is happening.

Oh this was so incredibly helpful to know. I currently am very lost with the whole period timing, regular or irregular period thing, I’ve always thought I was irregular, but now I’m not sure anymore… and I didn’t actually know that about past tense and strips for on going, current. Damn. Yess I’m UK based too, so that’s super helpful!! Thank you so much!!!
No worries I’m learning as I go too! If you ever want to chat feel free to drop me a message. If you think you’re irregular I’d recommend the app ‘Clue’ I used it to track me periods after having my implant out. And it gives you an analysis page and tells you your average cycle length and how many days your cycle varies by etc… and it’ll tell you if that is within a normal variation range or not. This proved really handy for me to have this information to get my PCOS diagnosis as I could show them that and confirm that I am irregular. I think a regular cycle is deemed 27-35 days and it’s okay if your cycle is 27 days one month then 35 days the next that would still be deemed a normal variation.
I would highly suggest using the ovulation strips just to help you figure out your period schedule. I did this and have learned so much. Now that I know my cycle, I just use the strips for the week I’m going to ovulate, to make sure my “predictions” are right and that I don’t miss ovulation day. Using the sticks and taking my temperature everyday took a serious hit on my mental health so I stopped. So now I stick to using them for ovulation week.
Oh really?? Do you not feel ones more effective? Thank you so much for commenting:)
