I have the worst hot flashes sometimes it’s to the point where I almost pass out there any time of day or night no warning
I do. All night every night. AC and two fans on. Sometimes my feet are cold but from the chest up, I'm on fire.
Oh man do you guys take anything for it?
Hello 😊 Stopping hormone replacement often means a return of symptoms. Do you mind telling me why you stopped using it please?
Because I had bad migraines and they wanted to see if the estrogen and progesterone was causing my migraine
@Amy I see, ta 😊 And how's that going, or is it too soon to say? In most cases, HRT can be adjusted and carefully managed to work for those with migraines. Where migraines/headaches are hormonal and worsen in peri/menopause, HRT can actually help. For instance, low dose transdermal oestrogen and continuous micronised progesterone is often successful in addressing hormonal fluctuations that can aggravate and cause migraines..
Oh ok thank you I’ll let my doctor know and they want to wait until after my sleep study
I have hot flashes at least three times a day. I feel like my body is on fire.
Me too
Has anyone been on Effexor ER befor for hot flashes
Interesting, I'm not a candidate for HRT and my Dr just recommended Lexapro for my hot flashes.
How does that work good and how long does it take to work?
Haven't started it yet. But I can let you know.
Ok sounds good

@amy I've been on Lexapro for a few weeks now and it has definitely helped me with the hot flashes.
Oh ok I’ll let my obygn know
I never did til recently. My hair is completely soaked all the time. It’s a waste of time styling it on a morning. 😫
