Birthday gifts while pregnant

Becoming a mom is such an amazing feeling I remember the first year with my son I just wanted everything HIM. mom shirt, mom necklace mom mug lol it’s normal ! Especially with your baby due so close to your birthday I don’t think it’s wrong to ask for stuff for your baby! Maybe think of stuff for both of you ! So you can kinda get something too. Self care is important!

What day is your birthday? Because same! I don’t want anyone getting me anything because I’m literally due in a month

I feel the same way all I want is baby stuff my birthday is on the 16th and my husband is dead set on making sure I have the best birthday ever so I told him all I want is dinner with family

Definitely know this feeling. Had my son April 20,2022 and my birthday is May 21 so it’s like should I ask for something for him or myself. Which I hated lol. And this year on my birthday we went out to eat which ofc was money that could’ve been to the baby but it was nice since ofc I was only like 2 months pregnant at that time

I was pregnant during my birthday and only wanted baby stuff 😅 I saw it as one less thing I had to buy, and that was a gift in itself. I asked for a massage & gift cards - those gift cards went to buying baby stuff lol.

What about asking for a matching outfit for you and baby? That’d be so cute!

@Eva it’d be awesome but I can’t think of many matching outfits for mother/son… my mom of course would be so creative in that, but I just asked her to help me figure out my go-bag and the stuff I’ll need immediately after he’s born because I just want to be prepared. 🫠 I’ve had two meltdowns today alone about not being ready since this is my first…

Don't feel guilty if you want something for yourself. Once baby is here you will most likely skip on opportunities to buy yourself anything as it will all go to baby. My 2nd baby shower was themed "Walk down Hollywood." My son was already born and we walked the red carpet. Most of the gifts I received were for me. Robe, slippers, manicure set etc. My daughter was born 17 months before so my son just rocked pink for awhile!

Say what you want!! It’s just hormones mama, and your baby will have what they need no matter what. Leather working sounds so fun!! Also my husband and I are doing our Christmas shopping for everyone now since we know we won’t when baby 2 is here, so maybe a good time to mention for Christmas too so you don’t get the dreaded empty stocking!

My favorite thing I got with baby 1 was a robe from One Hundred Stars (UK), it was the lightest weight thing when I was hot and sweaty and I felt really pretty in it
