How do I stop feeling so heartbroken about my 2 year old starting crèche 😢

If my child was extremely upset after I drop them off do you think the crèche would contact me to come back? I’d hate to think of them crying for ages
They would but to be honest, they'll probably just keep distracting the child until they calm down and get stuck into something. I never had to tell a parent to come back, they all eventually settle in the end. Does your creche have an app, are they able to send photo updates during the day? I used to send photos of children playing during the day and that really helped some parents with their anxiety. Not even "staged" photos, just their child in the middle of an activity, happy out.
@Fiona yes they asked my permission to take photos so that I can be updated from time to time

Hi, I worked in a creche for over 10 years before I had my twins. 7 years with the same age group as your daughter. Yes the settling in period can be upsetting but once that is over, she's going to love it!!! Some children will always have a few tears going in but literally 5 minutes later, their hounding down breakfast to go play with their friends.
