Is there a name for someone who doesn’t have dairy in diet but eats meat? ❤️

My daughter is allergic to dairy so I’m also wanting to become dairy free so just curios 😄 I would appreciate: Food suggestions Snack suggestions Meal suggestions

Lactose free? But sorry I don't have any suggestions 🙈

@Brittany don’t worry it’s a pain catering for her 😂

Dairy free or CMPA. Aldi have a good range of dairy free options, such as cheese, fish cakes etc. flora is vegan, we use this to make a roux for pasta sauces with oat milk - we use Oatley barista. Biscoff is dairy free & bourbons. Pom bears - crisp usually contain dairy tho 😩 I tend to search for dairy free recipes and then try and just meat at some point in the recipe x

@Kirsty dairy lovely thank you x

The bigger pots of yogurts are also a lot less sugar such as alpro plain- we add fruit or a bit of fruit pouch for taste but my little boy also likes it just plain anyway. I’ve found most of the dairy free yogurts are full of sugar x

I think just dairy free lol. I had to cut dairy for the first few months of my daughter’s life. Food suggestions: Oreos Country crock plant butter (tastes the closest to real butter) I did a lot of just a meat & vegetables for meals Baked/roasted sweet potatoes or potatoes with different toppings were a go to for lunch. Walmart branch chicken salad on club crackers

@Kirsty she will not eat them 😂 x

Meat, veggies, rice, potatoes, eggs, salads, smoothies, meatloaf, pot roast, applesauces, fruits, peas, ect. I use allrecipes.com to find inspiration and recipes all the time.

My baby (who I BF) has CMPA and I tend to call myself a vegan who eats meat. 😂 Most supermarkets have a “free from” section so you can check for milk free items. They can be a little more expensive. As others have commented everyday items not in the “free from” section are dairy free. I would recommend checking the ingredients of anything you’re buying. You’d be surprised where milk pops up. If you’re BF be aware that soya can reduce milk supply. I find coconut is a nice milk/yoghurt alternative to dairy and soya.

I call it Vegan + Bacon 🥓😂 Seriously speaking, I think it's just lactose intolerant BUT pretty much NO ONE EVER takes it seriously because butter + milk are always turning up in my food 🙄 Unfortunately, you best bet is going vegan & adding your own meat OR just making your own food... It's a hard one to navigate when eating out for sure!

@Evonne thank you I know it was in hot dogs and I was gob smacked 😩 z

@Cassandra R we’ve tried 6 places before to cater for her x

@Fay allergen menus are your bff for eating out. I would suggest ordering something that’s already dairy free instead of modifying something when possible. That way slips don’t happen. I think hotdogs & lunch meat were the things that really blew me away. Just read every label until you find a dairy free one. They are out there

@Olivia it’s getting one around here only seen them in McDonald and books at Morrison and 2 large pub brands x

Lactose intolerant. Dairy-free. Look for plant-based (milk) alternatives like oat milk, cashew cheese. ETA: oil, such as olive oil can sub for some baking like in cakes too.
