TTC (mention of discharge)

So me and my partner have been trying for just over 2 months now, I came off the pill (Yazmin) in February and I had very irregular cycles, the first month after coming off was 48days with 2 days of bleeding, they are starting to even out now however last month we weren’t too sure about my ovulation days so we were noting down everytime we BD and after doing ovulation tests this month we’ve noticed we did it on and the days leading up to my ovulation day. This month I was due on my period on the 20th of may however on the 7th of may I started getting a brown discharge for 2 days which I gathered was my period coming early, I bled lightly for 1 day and now I’m still getting this brown discharge, it’s been 5 days now and I’ve had a negative test today and my ovulation is low so I’m abit stuck on what it could be? I’m new to TTC and have super anxiety about everything that happens😫any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!❤️

I’m not too sure on the discharge lovely but highly recommend the Flo app for tracking ovulation and your cycle. You have to pay for it but I have endometriosis and fell pregnant on the second month of TTC just from tracking it on the app and it suggesting the days where I was most fertile! Obviously everyone is completely different and wishing you very best on your journey ❤️

@Victoria thankyou and congratulations! I have used the Flo app but I’ve found it’s not always that accurate, I have an app called premom which I’ve recently started using which seems to be good so hopefully that will help. If you don’t mind me asking what symptoms of endometriosis did you have? I have had a few symptoms but I’ve spoke to the doctor and had an examination and they said my ovaries look okay so I’m not sure if it could be that or not x

Very painful periods, like daily pain. It’s unfortunately a condition that gets overlooked, often takes women years to get a diagnosis and doctors can’t diagnose from just a scan or an internal examination - you have to have a laparoscopy which is an investigative surgical procedure that you need to go under anaesthetic for. I’m not sure if you’re UK based but if you try for a good amount of time to fall pregnant, definitely speak with your doctor to see if you have any underlying conditions. If you’re worried about something don’t let them fob you off and say you don’t have it as waiting lists on NHS are veryyyyyy long!
