Help

So I'm having a hard time with my milk it's definitely come in (I'm a week post partum) my baby has a severe lip and tongue tie so I'm trying to pump and bottle feed until after his surgery because his latch is bad and his suction is weak. We have been formula feeding as needed to supplement and I was pumping 2oz per session for a few days. Now I'm averaging about 1oz per session. I'm exhausted with the newborn and even though I have alarms set to pump I often find myself needing to hold the baby or napping during my pump time because the baby has been up and needed me. What do I do? How can I fix this?

Your supply will be based on demand. So making sure you’re consistent with pumping will help keep it. Try power pumping at least once a day (pump 20 min, 10 min break, pump 10 min, 10 min break, pump another 10 min)

You move milk to make milk. Pump when you’re giving a bottle so your body understands when milk is needed Latch baby whenever you’re able or even after the bottle to help stimulate milk production as well Keep in mind baby bellies are little and don’t need a lot. When your milk first comes in there’s so much to help you with all the cluster feeding and then your body adjusts to when it understands that milk is needed
