Sounds like a place name in Finland to me. 😂
@Lauren basically yeah
@Minna great 👍🏻 I also originally had Celtic in my mind. However it looks like it’s an name of Asian origin
We have a place called Nurmela, I think that's why it reminds me of a place name. But it's probably an Indian name really.
@Minna good to know. I like it when names have multiple meanings. What does Nurmela mean in Finnish then? Any associations?
Normal and Nirvana hybrid word was what my dyslexic mind went straight to lol. Then my second thought was surrounding nicknames. “Nur” would not be a great sounding one lol but “Mal” sounds pretty badass and “Mala” is kinda pretty
Reminds me of one of the cats in Garfield called Nermal 😆
Name of the mum character from Netflix show “Never Have I Ever”. They’re an Indian family
I would naturally associate it with an older woman of south Asian origin. But it would be unique to use for a baby I guess!
Normala sound better to me but I think that’s cuz my name is norma lol I always got called ne-rma nur-ma instead of norma and I hated it lol
How do you pronounce it? Nur-Marla?x
