@Jessa i have medacaid for myself but we have to pay monthly for the kids to have low income insurance just because of their dads income. I don’t get how so many people just lie and say dad doesn’t live with them and get away with it? People keep telling me I should’ve done that basically. We are in PA
Interesting no one told me that about my kiddos 🤫🤫 How old are they? Maybe it’s different per state, like I think in OR kids get ohp for the first couple years or something like that. Right because if you lie about not being in the same household as dad then you’re gonna have to lie about your income. They’re gonna be like “ok so how u paying for your home and living expenses if you don’t work” or they’d be on your ass about finding a job. I tried to pull the whole roommate deal but it’s not that easy when you have a kid with them
I’m on the same boat :/ I mean if anything y’all should be able to qualify for medicaid? Because they’re asking for individual income, not totally household. I think for food stamps and WIC they include your partner whether or not you’re married because y’all are under the same household. I’d call and ask about that. My son and I were able to get Oregon Medicaid (OHP) and WIC (because if having ohp immediately qualifies us for wic, especially coz I’m pregz). But yeah we couldn’t qualify for ERDC (childcare help) or snap
