Nutramigen

My baby has been prescribed Nutramigen and has been settled on it for two months. It’s now on a ‘manufacturer can’t supply’ and my local pharmacies don’t have it in stock. He’s been prescribed SMA Althéra. Has anyone used this? He’s only had a few bottles of it but it seems to be really greasy and a nightmare to clean out of the bottles.

My pharmacist told me its back in production and stock but im NI. I got 4 tins today of pureamino!

@Katlyn my mam works in a pharmacy and says they can’t get it. My prescription is for 10 tins and I’ve rang round but no one stocks that many.

My baby got switched to althera two weeks ago and has settled very well on it. The bottle cleaning is an absolute nightmare so have been trying a bunch of different bottle cleaners. I’ve found that the nimble milk buster makes it a bit easier but tried that alongside the NUK bottle cleanser tonight and it’s been a game changer

@Katie oh I got a free bottle of the Nimble milk buster but I hate the smell. Guess I’ll have to persevere. Where do you get the NUK bottle cleanser from?

I know it smells horrible but I just wash it all with fairy afterwards so it thankfully doesn’t leave a smell. I just ordered it from Amazon but not sure if it’s cheaper elsewhere
