What level of prepared are you at?

I’m 33 weeks with baby 3 and honestly it’s only really just now dawned on me she could come in like 4 weeks 🤯 I got into my head she will go over but what level of prepared should I be at right now? Where is everyone else at? 😂

I’m 34+5 and as of yesterday I’ve finally got all the clothes he needs - none of it washed and put away tho! Got all the stuff I.e cot, bouncer, Moses basket, steriliser etc as my daughters only 17 months but none of its set up and I haven’t packed a hospital bag ✌🏼😅

I’m a bit over prepared 😂 everything ready. We just need to buy one more thing, just waiting for payday 😂 bags packed, clothes washed. My parents say I’m nuts 😂

@Naomi with my 2nd I’m not sure I even packed a hospital bag, I was supposed to have a home birth but they was closed over Christmas and he came on Christmas Day 4 days late lol! That was loads of fun! We sold everything after baby 2 adamant we was done LOL , but also he’s almost 4 and I’m like I can’t even remember what we need like HOW MANY CLOTHES AND SIZES AND THE WEATHER?!! My brain just can’t right now x

@Thirza I think I should probably start getting more prepared 😂 I’ve had tonsillitis and sinusitis and my motivation is just none existent, how I’m meant to birth a human soon is beyond me 😂😂

My baby shower is in 2 weeks so I’ve been putting off buying stuff cause don’t want lots and lots that doesn’t get used. I have bare essentials if I go before then. Honestly didn’t have much when I went in with my daughter and we were in hospital for a couple days. My moto- we’ll manage 🤣🤣🤣

I’m 33weeks on Monday and I have nothing washed or prepared in the nursery, nothing Is put away or organised. Knowing my luck my first will be early and I’ll still have nothing washed 😂

I’m 30 weeks, I have bought everything apart from a baby monitor and a baby gym. I still need to wash/clean everything. I haven’t packed the hospital bag yet but I am reading up on hypnobirthing and have antenatal classes booked (this is my first). There’s a wall in my living room with a tiny bit of mould on it near the window and I’ve decided that we simply must clean it, treat it, paint with anti-mould paint and then paint it a nice colour. But I’m allergic to house paint so my dad is going to do that for me 😆 (my husband is useless at painting and my dad’s professional). I expect there are things I don’t know about or have forgotten but I’m feeling quite chill tbh.

I’m 31 weeks and totally ready. First baby came early and we didn’t even have clothing for him so making sure nothing like that happens again. Just unpacked all the newborn clothes and got them all sorted out this morning

32 weeks and definitely not as prepared as I was with my first 🤣 I better start soon 😅

32 weeks today and we’ve prepared nothing…. we haven’t even bought anything as we have some clothes from her brother that are neutral and family have bought lots of clothes and bits. We really need to get my bag packed and see what people haven’t bought so we can but some clothes and other things! I want the crib set up soon as I’m starting to worry we are not prepared 😂 We have a whole shopping list to go through and tick off but I think I’m more chilled out this time because I know family have got certain things (huge nappy bundle, clothes, baby bath, bouncer etc). It’s just all the little things and a baby gym really but still feel so unorganised! Not even sure whether to get all the bottle machine things again as I want to breastfeed and actually stick to it this time but I don’t know what to buy now! There is also no time when you have a toddler and a partner who works long days 😂

I’m 30 weeks with baby number 3 also and I have nothing ready! The old Moses basket is still in the loft, all the baby clothes I have from the other kids are in vacuum pack bags still and still to be washed. I’m just not prepared. I still don’t even know if I should buy a double pram or not as my daughter is 2 or if I should just wear the new baby in a sling when we go out. Any advice would be great lol… Oh and I also need to get a new car as my car broke on me so yea I’m not ready lol

@Emma if definitely recommend a double pram! Even just a second hand one. It’ll probably come in more handy than you think 😅xx

@Thirza I have 2 prams as it is with no space for them really, one lives in my broken car and the other in my hall way. I have a buggy board as my son who’s nearly 6 used to use it when my daughter was small so I’m thinking maybe she can go on the buggy board and the new baby can go in the Hauck pram and I just get the new born attachment… I just don’t know lol

Is there any good double prams that are on the smaller side?

@Emma the double pram is worth it especially if it rains or you have to take the toddler to the toilet out in public. Maybe you don’t need it immediately. I had a 2.5 yr old and a newborn and the double pram saved me plenty of hassle. I have an uppababy vista, as double pram I don’t think it’s that big i leave mine in my car. You can get them second hand for a good price on facebook marketplace. The seats can be hand washed too.

I'm 30 weeks with baby number 2 - we are leaving it a surprise so no idea if we're having a girl or boy so haven't bought anything, just have some very plain white clothes I've been given. It's more than likely we will have baby before 38 weeks so really not that long but my theory is I've probably got everything I need in the house somewhere after my first!

@Emma we got a double that turns into a single and sacked off our current single. We got the cosatto wow xl. We were also looking at the cosatto woosh double which is a side by side but doesn’t change to single xx

Thank you guys I will check them out.. x

I’m 32 weeks with baby #2 and I don’t have anything. No crib, clothes, burp clothes, tub, ext.. I only have 3 baby bottles. I’m hoping Ithat my baby shower next month will help. With my first baby I had everything by now, but didn’t even buy a crib until I was over 41 weeks lol.. I need to prepare soon
