The health visitor and Everything I’ve read has said it’s fairly pointless trying to create a routine until 12 weeks. Some babies will naturally form their own before this but most the time they’re still adjusting, nap length varies a lot, feeding is irrational with a lot of cluster feeding so I’m just going with the flow until then. I thought we had bedtime cracked as she went to sleep at 7:30 4 nights in a row but that’s gone out the window now too. On the plus side ….Half way to getting a routine
I wouldn’t worry about a routine, we were so bothered about routine when she was that age but she made her own routine without us even realising and that’s what we stick too now. It will automatically fall into a routine, I wouldn’t worry x
From the day our LG was born I followed her routine and it’s worked out perfectly and she does the same every day. I just fed her every 4 hours rather than drip feed. And it worked great. Every baby is different and will soon get into their own routine so don’t pressure yourself to try make one. They will get there 🥰 whatever you do - they still think they are apart of you and are getting used to the big wide world 🩷
We started a bedtime routine from 8 weeks which worked well :) Daytime routine was a lot harder until recently (5 months) as naps were inconsistent, but slowly over time you will work out what works best for your little one :)
I started routinine @7 weeks was fed evey 3 hours askeep by 10-12 and wake up by 8-9 As he got to 4 monthe he was asleep by 9 ans wake up at 9-10 and is still the same only he now has 1 bottle at night and 1 in the morning your routine is what you make it you dont have to have a a complete rountine you can do it in parts say have a morning routine first … then eventually add in a night time one theres no rushh but you definatly can make one id you like
I followed babies queues for the first 8 - 10 weeks or so, no routine as such. Fed on demand (still do), naps when she likes (still does) and noticed as long as I'm up every day about 7 to get my other child to school - her day starts around then too and she naps every few hours throughout the day then she's done for the day around 7.30pm. Day time naps are in her pram, downstairs and always in daylight. Night time sleep is upstairs in her bassinet. She's 4 months. If she doesn't settle at 7.30 I don't stress. I bring her back downstairs and try again a while later and it usually works. I refuse to be trapped rocking a baby like I did with my first! X
We used the Little Ones routines which were fab. In the first 3 months is more about instilling good sleep habits and is quite a relaxed routine x
We didn’t get into a proper routine until around 5/6 months x
