Going to gp/ private advice

Hey :) We’ve been trying to conceive (on and off due to how difficult the negatives impact) for 2 years. Was wondering how people went about seeking help from gp or going private! Im worried about the financial side of things going private but have also heard horror story’s about gps not being interested in helping! Thanks :)
