Placenta donation for research

Does anyone know who I should talk to about this. I think there's paperwork required ahead of birth so wondering who to talk to about this. Having our little girl at the JR

I remember I had asked my midwife when I had my last baby (February 2023) and she told me that in Oxfordshire they no longer accept donations of placenta for research unfortunately...but maybe things have changed...if you ask your midwife she will know.

Hi Jenna, you could look at the CAREFOL-HT study as they collect the placenta (and do other tests as well).
