Curious if anyone else has their little one on their own insurance like separate for yours. I’m self employed and on my parents insurance because I have medical issues that ultimately leave me needing really good insurance otherwise I’m out a ton of money a month for health treatment. Baby daddy doesn’t have a steady job and also doesn’t want to help with right about anything. Just trying to see if anyone else has put their newborn on a separate insurance than theirs and how that process went. Obviously I will call places and get it figured out but just wanted some personal insight if anyone has any.

You likely qualify for your states Medicaid program so check with that for your baby
I have mine on Medicaid, I’m not on my parents insurance anymore

I work with my parents and I’m on their insurance and I’m putting my girl on mine when she’s born in aug. I’m staying on theirs because their coverage is a tad bit better than mine and the insurance is letting me have my own just for my kid.
