My little boy is 4 on December 15th and he starts primary school nursery in September x
@Rachael if your child is 3 already they should be able to start in September this year
My son is 3, he will be 4 in December, but hes starting another new nursery this September, he wont go to primary school until September 2025
He’ll be starting reception in 2025 x

My boy is 4 on the 31st of December. He's got another year in nursery and then will go to the school attached to the nursery if he gets in, fingers crossed.
Does anyone know when they start doing opening days ?
@Rhiana depends on what primary school your interested in, if you just give a call to the nursery in a primary school or even a private nursery and express your interest of wanting to get your little one enrolled you could just request for a tour around the nursery.
Depending what month your little one is born. Mine is mid December so he has 1 year left at nursery before going into reception. Luckily there’s a school attached to his nursery! I know from my older kids that it’s usually the October before they start school the next year (so for me, I’ll be applying this October for next September) also the gov normally send you an email or the nursery will give you a booklet to start applying for school. We don’t have many options as I don’t drive, so I’ve just gone for the closest school to me (we are also new to the area…so don’t know much about nurseries or school here) my older ones go to college and secondary school!
I booked one tour in July for October as they had limited space. Another one I’ve just asked about a tour and they do t release dates until September x
We looked at our first today! I think we apply for them fairly soon?
