Have you told work about the pregnancy yet?

If not when do you plan to tell them?

I’ve told my work! I told them around 9weeks. I do quite a bit of lifting at work so for me it was important to do it early on. I just asked for a chat and just dropped the ball x

Told mine as soon as i found out. I had some bleeding early on and was told i needed to go to hospital, because she was aware my manager was very understanding so was glad id told her x

Not yet. Planning on waiting until after my 12 week scan. Saying that, I do work from home 90% of the time so it’s been easier to feel crappy during my first trimester without anyone noticing 😂 I’ve used my TOIL for appointments xx

Just told mine after my 12 week scan . Was so hard to keep quiet as I’m showing so early on with this second pregnancy . Director was very understanding

Told my boss around 6 weeks. Luckily my colleague just had a baby at the start of the year and kinda paved the way for the rest of us as to how to handle it. My boss likes to have as much lead time as possible on things, and she kept talking about my progress for next year so I needed to get it out early. She had been great and extremely supportive, even though my pregnancy has been pretty easy going so far

My HR department and my line manager knew about ours since the embryo transfer 😂 unfortunately due to the time off needed for ivf it was hard to keep it quiet. However I only formally told the head teacher (I work in a school) this week at 14 weeks pregnant. But you technically don't have to tell them until 25 weeks! I needed to tell them sooner as being on the narrow corridors with 2000 students is quite hazardous at times 😂

I told work at about 7 weeks due to working with young children (I’m a teacher) so needed a risk assessment in place

I told mine straight away, I work in the dog behaviour team at a large rescue so a lot of my role is handling aggressive dogs which obviously I can’t do now! I also had to have lots of early scans due to a previous ectopic so wanted to explain all the time off I needed 😂my boss is awesome though so no issues.

I let my manager know on the DL so that if I needed an afternoon off she’d get it but won’t be telling HR etc until I have to at around 20 weeks as I’m hoping for a promotion before then and don’t want them to be bias (even tho I know they’re not allowed to be but we’re only human)

I told my manager at around 7 weeks because I wasn't feeling great. I then did my risk assessment at 11 weeks and told everyone at work in my team at almost 13 weeks. I don't have a high risk job so wasn't a huge need for me to do anything too early!

I had to tell my manager the day I found out! Had to tell them before I could even tell my parents 😭 simply because of the chemicals I work with. I found out just before I had to leave for work, and they had a risk assessment meeting with me by the end of play the same day

I told my manager as soon as i found out so that i could put some changes in place to reduce stress!

I told them straight away, but I work with adults with pmld and we have a lot of challenging behaviours xx

@Chloe 😂😂😭

@Aleena this is why I’ve not told work yet and I’m glad you chose to wait to. All that stuff about ‘they’re not aloud to do this or do that’ I think is all bullshit - they do whatever they want and cover it up. I’m not due a promotion but I started with this company 8 weeks ago and I’m planning to tell them end of this month. I just don’t want to be treated differently rn. Plus side is I’m not showing yet, thankfully 🤣

Told work around 7 weeks after my private scan I do heavy lifting in my work place and preferred to tell them early

Exactly, they’ll just give another reason to cover the real one
