1: found out I was pregnant by being admitted to hospital with a suspected kidney infection, which I did have but surprise surprise I was also pregnant. I told a friend in confidence who spitefully went and told my entire family (at 6wks and had only found out), due to this the family I was staying with kicked me out. At 20wks ended up in hospital due to suspected appendicitis, had to have an mri, but baby was sitting on my ureter and blocked urine flow - if it didn’t resolve I’d need an operation to put in stents. Thankfully resolved. 32wks onwards I noticed my BP creeping and told midwives it’s not normal etc. they laughed it off at times telling me they shouldn’t talk about delivery before taking BP. Had a sweep at 39+6, was 3cm dilated. Went home and waited eagerly to meet my LB!

Next day I hadn’t felt him move to his normal patterns and got concerned. Called in and got to assessment. Was assessed for an hr and then asked how I’d feel about having baby today because he wasn’t doing well and neither was I. So I was induced. Pitocin started, refused the epidural, and waited. Things picked up pretty quick. But also things got worse for us. My BP went through the roof (206/121), I was injected with a few Bp medications, I also had AROM, episiotomy x2, forceps and vac (attempted and failed twice for both). My boy was sunny side up and came out that way, had back labour. I was in and out of consciousness, he was out 4hrs after pitocin started. I haemorrhaged and lost 1.5ltrs of blood. But I’m so grateful we both made it out. I was diagnosed with late onset preeclampsia and pregnancy induced hypertension which would have been picked up earlier had the midwives listened to me sadly. I then fell pregnant again 4ish m pp 😂 Let’s hear your story!

My rainbow girl story ; tested the DAY of my period I dunno I I just had a feeling. My period normally starts in the middle of the night while I’m asleep. It in fact did not so I was like mmm okay 😂. Tested and it was positive and entered it in Flo I was 3 weeks. God I was so mf sick throughout that WHOLE pregnancy. Like hospital sick. About half way through I was better. She actually stopped growing at 30 weeks and we kept a close eye on her. My doctor decided it was best to be induced at 38 weeks because they didn’t know if it was because I’m so small or failure to thrive. My induction nearly caused me to lose her and ended in an emergency c section. They were in fact wrong about failure to thrive. I’m 4’11 and was 95 pounds pre pregnancy 😒. She ended up being 5 pounds 9oz at birth she beat me by an oz. Here I am about to have little sister Tuesday and girly is bigger than her sister and she’s not even here yet. My girls will be 14 months apart ❤️

@Kea aww my two boys are 14m apart ❤️💙

@Sharnee how is the gap do you like it ??

I was 22 when I found out I was pregnant (unplanned) we were about to move into my in-laws house to save on renting so we could buy our own house. My brother in law and his wife, also lived in this house too for the same reason but they were due to move out in a few months. I waited until 12 weeks to announce I was pregnant as 1) I didn't quite believe it / it didn't seem real so I wanted it confirmed by a doctor and 2) even though it wasn't planned, we were happy & the thought of a miscarriage was devastating. The thought of having to tell people we had a miscarriage was horrible (imo) I know people shouldn't feel like they have to hide it incase of miscarriage. Anyway so the night we had our 12 week scan, we announced it. My brother in law's wife, didn't say a word, went upstairs to her room and proceeded to cry and scream for the rest of the evening. She moved out that night. She hasn't spoken to me since and won't forgive me for getting pregnant first. My son is now 9 mons & still hasn't spoken to me

Hg from 4 weeks - 8 months then it came back in labour 42+3 but I was actually 44 weeks pregnant but they wouldn’t believe me Induced and he wouldn’t come out due to his head being 56cm in circumference. 72h27mins of labour of which 27h26m active labour. Pushed for 3 hours - nothing Had to have forceps Haemorrhaged lost 2L of blood, had to have 4 blood transfusions, BP drops to less than 70. 3a degree tear & episiotomy Was left covered in blood that my partner had to shower me whilst I had one arm with my catheter and the other holding my blood bag. They forgot my pain medication after asking 5 times. The whole thing caused PTSD and severe postpartum depression 3 months later. I’m pregnant with my second and I think I’m going to go c section

Mine was planned. Nice, relaxed and organised! I was first on the list. We was laughing and joking with operation team the whole time. Got to pick my playlist, he was born to Uncle Kracker - Follow Me. I didn’t want a stressful or traumatic birth so chose to have an elective section and so glad I did. I opted for a ‘gentle’ Section where they show you pretty much everting. The staff took photos to and they’re the most unreal pics you can see him fully coming out. Loved my experience 💙 4.4.24 angel numbers 💙

We were trying for a baby and got lucky after 9 months of trying. The whole pregnancy was a breeze until I reached 40 weeks. It’s like my body said that’s it I am done but the baby girl was not making her appearance so I had a sweep at 40+2 which seemed to have worked as I lost my mucus plug and had lots of cramping that night. Sadly, I also woke up with the temperature the next morning, went to triage but they said I am fine and sent me back home. After I got back home I checked my temperature again and it was over 39 so I called the triage but they just told me to take some paracetamol, luckily they called me back immediately and asked me to come back. An hour later the girl was born! She stopped moving and her heart rate was over 180 but they failed to check it the first time. Apparently, I developed some sort of infection that rapidly spread everywhere but the hospital still not sure what caused it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Definitely opting for an elective next time.
