In-laws seen baby 3 times in 4 months

Feeling really awkward about an upcoming meal with them. I don’t feel like I should hand my baby over but how can I avoid this?

Let your baby collect the love when they give it. You won't have to see them often, and when the baby gets older, they will likely drop off. I've realised that the in-laws will always be there, so it's better to learn to pay them no mind and just be cordial so that there are no arguments or issues that mean you have to make more of an effort and it is unnecessary stress. My inland live 4 minutes drive from me and they come to see their only grandchild twice a year X

I’ve seen a lot of posts where mommas baby wear at family events so that they don’t have to pass their baby around. It might not be a bad idea if you really don’t want to play pass the baby and it’s a little harder to just grab baby from a carrier than it is to grab from your arms.
