Vacuuming

Everyone keeps telling me I absolutely cannot vacuum until 6 weeks but I’m 3.5 weeks now and dying because no one else vacuums the right way 😫 anyone vacuum and be fine? My stitches are already closed and glue is falling off, I’m up to all normal activity otherwise!

Omg yess i vacuumed before my 6 weeks was over. Bless my husband he tried but he missed a lot of bits! I Couldn't take it anymore lol

Yes, I'm pretty sure I did some hoovering before 6 weeks.

You shouldn’t do any heavy lifting or hoovering or lawn mowing until 6 weeks. It’s the internal stitches that need that long to properly heal.

Pretty sure I vacuumed the first week. I have 3 Germans shepherds and 2 cats so I can’t go more than a week. My house is mostly hardwood tho.

Do what feels right for you, if your well enough and don't feel sore do as you please, just take it easy. If you start to feel pain or exhausted stop or take a break.

Yes I did as well I did everything normal afterwords with caution and plenty of rest on top of it

I cleaned the floors and vacuumed in week 2 post C-section. The bending, no lifting heavy, no straining tho. My SOs job to clean the hard areas like behind toilets ect..

Girl what

I vacuumed the day after we got home. 😂 I

I vacuumed week 2i think and then why after that, just take it slowly and vdon't lift the vacuum and I got my husband to do the stairs for the first month. I did it once and definitely over did it and was in a lot of pain so be careful x

Think it differs alot depending on it its a heavy hoover or just a light weight one. Ive hoovered before 6 weeks with my lightweight cordless one x

Not gonna lie, I was doing house work in the first week 😅 my partner would tell me off but I was loading the laundry, hoovering, cleaning ext. just couldn’t help it. My wound healed quicker than expected x
