yes!! have days where i can’t wait but most of the time i am so so nervous of labour and what life will be like once she’s here. i’ve done all the research possible and got everything we need but would be nice if babies came with a manual 😭 so so overwhelming
This is my second baby, some advice for you. The first two weeks are very overwhelming in terms of emotions, you may cry over nothing and everything, just know that will pass, it may feel like your in a fog but it’s because of your hormones being all over the place and taking on a whole little person, as well as sleepless nights it can be overwhelming. My biggest advice is to have a plan in place with your partner or if you have someone who is going to be helping if you don’t have a partner. For example: mum does night feeds, dad does the morning feeds or if you are breastfeeding, mum does the feeds, dad does the nappies. We had it so I was doing all the night and my fiancé was doing the mornings so I could sleep, and he would bring her to me if she needed a feed. Having a strict plan makes things a lot easier. I also had my fiancé take over my house responsibilities 2 weeks before so he got used to it, doing the dogs, cleaning, doing the washing because I was having a C-section x
@Chloe just remember once you go into labour, they will be here soon like within 24 hours usually. I'm focusing on that more than anything. Plus it has to happen one way or another and then like everyone else probably won't even remember much of it 🫣
I've never wanted something to happen so soon but also purposely not wanted to actually think about how it's going to happen. Terrifying that we have never done this before and what if we don't know how to.
@Natasha this!! the weirdest feeling isn’t it, i’m now trying to do anything possible to distract myself from thinking about it but it scares me that it could happen at any minute 🥲
Yes! I'm terrified for labour 😭
