Is anyone using a cot bumper? My little one keeps banging his head in his cot all night!

I know they aren’t recommended but I can’t see any other way to protect him! Last night he hit his head about 5 times through the night, two of those times it woke him up crying. He likes to have his head resting on something 😩

I have a mesh bumper style thing and also got this bumper style sticks on but I can tell you it does nothing and he still bangs he’s head 🫠

@Sev oh nooo really?! He’s only recently started sleeping in his cot and he was sleeping through but now he’s waking all the time from hitting his head!

They’re a massive strangulation and suffocation risk. I’d much rather a baby with a bumped head than the alternative. They will eventually learn not to do it and they can’t do any real damage to themselves anyway x

@Hannah these are the ones I have been looking at! Thank you for that 🙏🏼 x

@Amanda oh this would really suit ours because he likes to peak at us when we wakes up 😂. Thank you I’m going to have a look for one of these x

@Amanda this is what I did with my oldest but I actually stitched the two bumpers together so it was even on both sides 🤣 x

@Amanda @Hannah can you share from where did you get those bumpers ? I can't seem to find any on amazon

The ones we're using now were given to us when my 4 year old was a baby 🤦‍♀️ I think they were from Tesco and came as a set with cotbed bedding 🙋‍♀️ x

I had a look and they do full size bumpers for 28.99. I got half bumper 180cm

We do, always double knot so he can’t by any chance undo them and pull it onto himself. At this age they’re able to turn their head away from the bumper. 😊

@Amanda thank you! I’ve ordered one 🙏🏼 x

We have a air bumper and it’s fantastic, no problems

@Gemma is it thick ? What about the top and bottom of the cot ? My baby crawl until the top and bang his head
