2 3 years apart

My first daughter is 4 years old and my second daughter is 4 months old

I got pregnant when my first was 6 months old. She was a dream baby honestly so we definitely got lured into that false sense of security 😂 we hadn’t planned it but it happened anyway. I’ve not got a just turned 2 year old and a will be 1 year old in a couple of weeks. It is haaaaard work! They never seem to sleep at the same time and it took a good 6 months to get into a proper routine that worked for both kids. They are both equally demanding so require constant attention. They fight as if they were MMA fighters most days so my youngest has had to grow up QUICKLY! However on the flip side: my eldest was never an only child for very long so I don’t feel there’s a sibling jealousy, rival thing, they are sooo cute together when they are making each other laugh and actually being nice to each other and that could warm the coldest heart! Can you afford the childcare, being out of work, extra expense etc. would be the only thing I’d say to think hard on!

Uk based..my little one is 2 months and planning to go again end of next year, start of 2026...purely as by time I go back off mat leave with number 2, he'll be eligible for 30hrs free childcare! Sad I have to think about this but, needs must.

My 2nd baby is due 19th September and my daughter turns 3 on 10th October
