Sick kids

My son started prep this year and with him going to school and his sister going to kinder, they seem to be sick almost every week! My daughter having days off kinder isn’t a big deal but my sons attendance was quite bad for the first 2 terms. He had a couple of days off last week as he was still getting over a sickness he had over the holidays and they’re both sick again today. The school is so strict on attendance so I’m always unsure if I should send him or not. Obviously if he has a temp like he does today, I’ll keep him home but over the next few days he’ll still be visibly sick with a runny nose and cough, should I be sending him?

I’m a teacher - please keep your kid home when they’re sick! Otherwise everyone else gets sick too. Attendance policies are for things that can be avoided, like holidays etc.

I'm a teacher too. Please keep your child home if they are sick. If u are worried about attendance and the schools policy, I would suggest sending the school an email with any questions or concerns u have. They might also be able to suggest some activities that can easily be done at home to help him not fall behind.
