@Annie I did ask to be examined which she did laying down and she claimed that there was no prolapse - I’m certain there is definitely a rectocele and I’m almost as certain there is a urethral prolapse also. I asked to be referred she said there was no need as there is no prolapse
They said the same for me and I literally took photos...lol don't judge me. 😂 She made me lay back down and bear down like I was trying to poop and she saw it.
Put your symptoms in writing to your gp, stating why you think it’s this and that you believe you need to be referred, and say that if they are unwilling to refer you to a gynaecologist then you need them to look into your symptoms and investigate themselves or refer you to someone appropriate that can look into them
But be explicit that if they do not agree with your suggestion for taking it forwards they need to recommend an alternative
Insist on an examination and if it is a prolapse, a referral to pelvic physio!
