TTC using OPK - help!!

I am using ovulation predictor kits for the first time and finding conflicting information on how to use them. Can someone on here with knowledge/experience of them confirm the following for me please based on my average 28 day cycle and a 6/7 day period: 1) test every day between day 8-21 2) test twice a day when I get my peak (peak confirmed by the Premom app) 3) intimacy every other day but when I get my peak then to be intimate for 3 consecutive days (this is the one I’m baffled on) 4) is it necessary to continue intimacy every other day til I get my period? Someone help a sister out please, the ghusls are draining me but inshaa’Allah it’ll be worth it but I just need to know I’ve understood this all correctly!!

I'd recommend clear blue digital ovulation sticks as it shows you the precise 48 hours that you are ovulating. I only started testing 8 days after my period until I saw the smiley face. We had no intercourse until I started ovulating and then did it for 4 days consecutively. I put my legs up for about 10 mins each time after the deed. Imo there's no point doing it every other day when you're not ovulating, as there's a low chance of getting pregnant (unless its for fun ofc).

@Syeda I did exactly this and it worked for me ❤️

Syeda is right. It doesn’t make no sense to do it before ovulation cause you can’t get pregnant before that and that’s too much work lol.

So you can still get pregnant before ovulation because sperm can live inside of you up to 5 days. You’re most fertile the day before ovulation, the day of & the day after. Honestly after that you’re probably good.

Thank you all for your input! It was getting tiresome every other day before the ovulation peak but I’m assuming the rationale behind that is exactly as the previous poster commented about sperm surviving for 5 days. So just to check I’ve understood the advice correctly, as soon as I’ve hit the “peak” on the OPK it’s four consecutive days of intimacy and that’s the most crucial days in terms of fertility during my cycle?
