toddler airplane fear

So I just took my daughter on her first airplane trip. She was so excited to get on the plane…until she got on the plane We brought a million distractions- stickers, post its, snacks, spin toys, tablet but she still was terrified. Screamed bloody murder for a good 30-40 minutes, kicking, the whole 9 yards. I finally got her to remain somewhat calm if I hold her for the entire trip (5 hours) and constantly talk to her to distract her. I’m talking if I stop talking for over 5 seconds- back to crying Have any of you dealt with this or something similar that can share tips? Our family leave across country so we can’t not see them and I’m so anxious to get on a plane with her now

It's the luck of the draw when we travel w our kid. I give her her fave foods, and a heck ton of screen time to keep her cool. Airplanes are quite loud. We explain all the noises to our daughter so she can understand what she's hearing vs fear it.
