My health anxiety is really getting worse

All I ever seen to think about is the worst and I know I shouldn’t because that makes things worse but I can’t help it. How do people stop themselves from worrying all the time if the baby is healthy in there. I’ve got a private scan for 16 weeks booked but 2 weeks feels so long let alone 6 weeks till the 20 week nhs scan!

I have suffered with this for a long time now but mine is more my health and wondering if things are normal all the time it’s very draining, have you told your midwife about it so you can be reassured? X

I’m not quite sure how to contact the midwife, on the folder thing there’s only the triage number. Every pain I get I worry and then when I don’t feel any pain I worry some more I’m so exhausted

it is so tiring bless you 😔 when are you next seeing your midwife? X

I think at 16 weeks but that’s 2 weeks away and I don’t actually have a date for when that is

bless you, just make sure you mention it to her and maybe speak to a doctor, I done that and now I have therapy for it x

I had it really bad after my first, I thought something was wrong with me everyday. I went to therapy and it really helped

I suffer from health anxiety in general but I don't seem to be worrying so much during pregnancy maybe because they check on you more often! I have had therapy which did work. You can self refer yourself.

The hospital might have a mental health support service available during and after pregnancy. I’ve been referred to mine (based in Ireland) for health anxiety too!

I was given info by email from my midwife of lots of mental health support in pregnancy - have a look and see if you were given any info as there may be things you can access.
