Hi quick question to all.

What was everyone’s results after the GTT Test? I went to see my midwife today who said my results were normal and she didn’t think I have gestational diabetes but I recieved a call from the hospital midwife advising I have gestational diabetes and I have to start glucose testing? I am from the UK so just wanted to check? Thanks

I just found out today I have gt, apparently it was 60 min gluclose test that says I have it…but my test was a month ago and no one had bothered to call me!! It was only as I saw the midwife today and asked him to check my results!! I have to wait for the diabetic midwife to call me to discuss…re diet and stuff tomorrow check sugar etc….just need to change my diet to low carb?? my 60 mins level was 10.5??

I live in Scotland so not sure if things are different but I got diagnosed with GD at 16 weeks after doing a fasting blood test and my result was 5.6 so slightly over the 5.5 target. I got referred to the diabetic team and have been self testing since 18 weeks

My fasting was 6.3 and after 2 hours was 11.9.. you only have to fail one to be classed as GDM, Even if its slightly over x

Hey there my fasting was 4.3 but after glucose test it was 8.1.

Thanks everyone. My result was 5.6 before the test and 7.2 after the test. I just don’t know what the target is as various pages online on Google advice a variety of different numbers.. I’ve been told by a couple of friends to try the following Breakfast: 30 g of carbs Snack: 15-30 g of carbs Lunch: 45 g of carbs Snack: 15:30 g of carbs Dinner: 45g of carbs Bedtime Snack: 15-30 grams of carbohydrate Carbohydrate Goal per Day: 175grams of carbohydrate Obviously you pair the carbs with vegetables and proteins of your choice.
