We were a bit like this at 19 months and started to dilute the bottle with water and tbh she started sleeping longer spells and we the just switched to a bottle of water now she’s 22 months and only comes through on the hot nights if she’s finished the bottle x

Others find a snack before bed helpful to make sure there full and not waking up hungry ? I think a lot of kids just find comfort in the bottle x

We give our boy a bottle to go to bed with & he likes to hold it in the bed as a bit of a comfort.. if he stirs he has a few swigs & straight back off to sleep.. I tried switching it for water but he doesn’t touch the water 🤣 I always bring up a fresh bottle when we come up to bed at 10-11pm then he usually comes in & gives us his empty bottle through the night if he finishes it & wants more.. then my partner is up at 5.30am for work so switched bottle for a fresh one again.. yes it’s still a lot of milk but he’s a good eater & he’s sleeping so I don’t mind.. & we also have a 10month old so anything to keep night time wakeups a minimum x

No my daughter stoped having night feeds at 11 months but only 4 months she started sleep through the night without waking up, she was waking up 2-3 times at night and was asking for a bottle but I didn’t give her, took me 7-8 months to stop her from it and it worked now 4 months or so she’s been sleeping without asking for bottle xx

My son also does this. He still have night feeds

Glad I’m not alone! I could have written this myself, my boy has never slept through and working 12hr shifts 3 times a week is a killer. I think I have tried everything and nothing works with him, I just keep telling myself it won’t last forever 😬🤣. My health visitor said at his 1yr check to as water to the milk or cold Turkey, but he will throw his bottle of I add water and same as your little one, if I offer nothing he will cry and throw up. Xx

We separated the bottle from bedtime giving it to her in the living room like 30 mins before, then switched to a straw cup and she lost interest. Now I give a snack cup full of cereal like cheerios when she hasnt eaten much dinner and a water bottle and shes outfit the night. Sometimes she will eat all the cereal before falling asleep. Sometimes wake up and eat it in the morning or even middle of night and go back to sleep.

@Clarissa Its absolutely bizarre! Ive even mixed water in it literally to half half and he still wants it😆
