Fussy eating

My 2 and a half year old used to eat pretty much everything but now will refuse so many foods he used to like, won’t eat meat and won’t try anything I give him. The things he eats i could probably count on my hands. The health visitor said he’s probably going through a phase with not eating meat - that was over 6 months ago. Anyone in the same situation with there little one? I don’t know what else to try

Yep !!!!! The only time my son actually eats well is at nursery there he will eat pretty much everything but we try at home and it’s a defo no and crying and throwing it on the floor but he will eat apples and cucumbers at home like they are going out of fashion

Yup. Same as the other commenter, my daughter eats everything at nursery but barely anything at home. I think it’s been about a year now and I’ve given up a bit, as at least I know she eats well 3 days a week.

Same woth us for a month now. Just snacks. Refusing what he used to like. We survive on snacks fruits and pasta! That he never refuses lol

Oh yeah, pasta and cheese is one of the only “meals” she eats. She does eat a lot of fruit and snacks though! Breakfast and lunch are fine - cereals and sandwiches - but dinner is a mission!

My daughter is getting a little more ‘reactive’ about meals even though I know she likes them. I think it’s for a reaction or to gain some control? Not sure but most evenings she’ll says “ewww, yuk!” The second she see’s her plate but when I say “im going to eat some noodles first, what are you going to eat first?” She instantly forgets and just joins in then I let her tell me what to eat next and we take turns x
