allergic reaction to prenatal

Are you allergic to soy, shellfish or seafood, or any other foods or ingredients? What prenatal are you taking?

@Cenza i’m allergic to tree nuts but other than that im not sure. i just started these and literally 5 mins after taking it i was having trouble breathing and my face got red & hot. it went away eventually but im scared to continue

@Cenza i went to ER yesterday because of the reaction but i hadn’t connected any dots at that point. today i took it again to see if there may be any connection and i had the same reaction, luckily i got through it without calling the ambulance again but im scared to take a prenatal now

Might be the sunflower based ingredients in that prenatal as my son’s allergist told me for him to stay away from sunflower seeds too with his tree nut allergy.

I would research prenatals specifically marketing they are allergen friendly. And consult your dr if you need help. Prenatals are super important for baby but you don’t want to put you both at risk with more reactions.

Please don’t take anymore of this. Every allergic reaction has the potential to get more extreme than the last. Is it possible that they were made in a facility that produces something with tree nuts? I have a tree nut, shellfish and stone fish allergy and I took Best Nest Mama Bird Prenatal vitamins that a dietician recommended. I found them to be safe and hood for my food allergies. Keep Benadryl on you now- its a safe drug if needed during pregnancy- benefit outweighs the risk. Good luck!

i just looked at the reviews! i’m shocked. there are multiple reviews from people who have had allergic reactions to this product. it’s crazy because i used this product my last pregnancy but they did update their product since then. it is different now.

@Grace omg that is crazy! They definitely need to reevaluate their formula now!
