Cry it out

I feel the the WORST parent right now. My baby cam is on my phone, I always have it on full volume and facing me before I go to sleep. 6 month old woke needing settled at 11:30pm, came back to bed, woke up at 6am thinking oh he must’ve slept through! Checked the baby cam, and he’d cried himself to sleep twice. The volume on my phone was completely down. For the most part by the looks of the screenshots it took for the most part he’d just been stirring but at one point he’d been crying for 40 minutes :( please someone tell me one night of no one coming to him isn’t going to do major damage 💔

We did cry it out and our daughter is the MOST caring, empathetic little girl ever to the point where I can’t even believe her at times, so I truly believe it has no effect. Once I read that crying is babies ONLY way to release their stress hormones I was much more relaxed about sleep training. They have to get it out, you’re not harming them by letting them cry.

Girl I’ve had the volume down more than once on my daughter’s monitor. She’s now 6 and is just fine. Give yourself grace 🫶🏻

Your baby will be ok. Your love for your baby will make up for this 1000 times.

@Layni i was thinking of that exact same sound lmaooo

I promise you aren’t the only one I know I can sleep heavy and my little one started waking up in the middle of the night again and I’m pretty sure I slept through it a couple times I don’t have a video camera so I can’t look back but I promise everything is going to be okay! We need our sleep too 💜

@Layni should have seen this when I left the monitor downstairs all night two weeks ago😂🤣
