Teething + food refusal!

I’ve been stressing a lot about my little one eating food… he’s in the 40th percentile for weight and the 85th percentile for height and he’s been teething lately. All four of his teeth are coming at once so feeding him has been a struggle, any time I offer food to him. He shakes his head or moves his head away. He hasn’t always been the best eater, but he’s been decent. Anything I offer him he eats a couple of bites and then the rest I have to feed him. When does this end when do kids become more interested in food? Am I doing anything wrong?

Having the same issue!!

Getting teeth HURTS! When I know my daughter is teething I always offer a cold pouch sometimes just something smooth and cold helps. Have you tried to add "hidden" extra calories (like heavy cream in eggs or extra thick purees)

Teething hurts a lot. He probably would do well with cold snacks and foods , to give his gums some relief

That’s the one thing that helps my son with teeth his got three coming at once and anything cold is a life saver!!!

My son is the same way. Seems like this is very typical toddler behavior. I'm not stressing about it too much, as long as he's still in a good weight percentile.

My son is a big foodie and it’s always a struggle when his mouth is hurting and doesn’t want to eat but I keep trying different things until I find something he will eat that night. Mac n cheese, applesauce, yogurt, grilled cheese, pbj , waffles/pancakes, and pouches are common ones that he will be okay with when in pain. If he doesn’t eat much throughout the day I give him some extra milk for calories.
