We mixed ours with milk before. They say not to as you can’t tell how much they’ve had if they don’t finish the drink but we just gave her a small amount of milk with the amoxicillin in. My theory was that’s it’s either that or none!
I mixed it in with Greek yoghurt before
The pharmacist was so blunt, and just said categorically cannot mix with any liquids - has to be taken alone otherwise it will not work 🙄🙄 so she’s spat out so much of it, would’ve been so much easier in some yoghurt etc! I’ll try for the remainder of the course. Thanks guys! Xx
Saw a video yesterday of a mum putting the medicine at the top of an unopened can of pop, the toddler took it right away thinking they were getting a cheeky bit of mums drink 😂 could be worth a try?
I wasn't able to get anything into my lo other than the first dose. He is great at taking medicines generally but not that. I mixed it in all sorts but he started becoming really suspicious of anything we gave without it in. I phoned the gp back and asked for an alternative
Dip the end of the syringe in honey - worked a treat for us 👍🏼
Our little boy took it much better from a teaspoon.. and we bribed with stickers! Good luck!
