Covid

So my daughter, bf and I went on vacation and well my boyfriends brother, wife and kids got Covid ( we all live together) and our last day at the hotel is tomorrow my boyfriend wants us to go back home and says we not gonna catch Covid but I don’t want to I’m scared especially for my daughter she’s only 1 years old. Like idk if maybe I’m being dramatic. But if we were to go back home is there a chance we’ll catch Covid? I’m also leaving Sunday to go stay with my family since I don’t want to go back home.

I personally wouldn’t expose my children to something that could harm them on purpose. Now definitely not saying that’s what you would do, if you had no choice I would go home but keep my babies in my room with me and if my man wanted to go be around them then I would kindly ask him to stay away from us. My son was born a week before Covid lock down and He and I got Covid when he was about 17/18 months and he was perfectly fine, he ran around like he just had a cold but was still climbing and laughing and played normally. We did still breastfeed at that point too. All that to say I don’t think you’re being dramatic, you’re worried for your baby. I would stay somewhere else but ask them to all to THOROUGHLY sanitize everything they came in contact with. I think they say now that you only have to quarantine for 5 days

If y’all go home there is definitely a chance however I had it recently and my bf and son didn’t catch it. My bf is vaccinated and I am not. Unless yall have underlying health issues already a cold will be just that but if it’s going to worry you I say stay with your parents till you know everyone is clear

If you all live together in a shared space then your family could likely catch it. For most vaccinated people covid is like having a really bad cold. It's worse for those unvaccinated or those with other health conditions. If you don't have to go back home then I would stay elsewhere until the quarantine period is over

I just got over Covid. It was the ABSOLUTE WORST. I was dead to the world for 7 days straight. Thank god I’m on maternity leave and my husband works from home. Stay away if you can! This strain is gnarly

I’m vaccinated and it did nothing

My whole family just had it, and it sucked but was manageable. I would not expose my child if I had a choice to stay somewhere else though. My 15 month old got it with us last week and she was sick with bad sinus congestion for 2 weeks straight. She acted like she was fine but it was horrible since she doesn't know how to blow her nose. Poor baby. This strain can def suck for both vaccinated and unvaccinated. Just because it feels like just a cold, doesn't mean it can't cause long-term issues. If you can stay away from getting sick, you always should if possible.
