Getting rid of playpen?

I have a XL playpen in my living room where I use to contain the baby, he’s just turned 8 months but I feel to get rid of it already cause it feels annoying to have in the living room. Has one had o e and gotten rid of it already?

Very close to getting rid of mine! He doesn’t even like it, the only time it’s any good is when I need to brush my teeth as that only takes 2 mins 🤣🫠

We haven't got a playpen yet.. looked into loads but want happy, we are just going to babyproof the lounge for her instead x

We just let baby have free rein of the living room but have just put a stair gate in the door as he keeps trying trying to run away🤣

We just got one today 🤣 he was getting fussy being left in his crib when need to go to toilet or answer door etc and it's not safe for him to be in the room alone as there's work being done to the fireplace and the dog is here too. It's taken up half the living room 🤣 but he likes it and it's good we can sit in with him and play with him safely for now. It's designed to let him pull himself up to learn how to do that too 💙 makes the lounge really small but it gives me peace of mind he's ok while I'm doing something

@Katy yeah thats like me!! It’s good when i need to run away for a lil but hes starting to hate it 😭 do ya think you’ll end up getting rid of it soon?

@Bronte im thinking the same now, plus i feel like it gives me them a lil more independence? Idk 😭 x

@Holly hahahaha and they move so fast sometimes!! I look away for a second and he’s off 😂

No because the living room isn't safe for her if I'm making food or going to the loo, she stands on everything and crawls into everything, tried to get the wires, TV, anything under the sofa ect ect. It's just a safe place I can put her if needed but that's all it's used for

She has full free rein of the living room while I'm watching though, and shes crazy 😂
