sweep

hiii 39+5 and had a sweep today just wondering if there’s anything i can be doing to increase chances of spontaneous labour during next few days. i’ve heard that 7/10 women go into spontaneous labour 2-3 days after a sweep so i’m liking my chances just want to know if there’s anything else to be doing xx

I had a cervical check and went into spontaneous labour. I started having back to back contractions within the hour. I was there as I was supposed to be induced (just got to 39 weeks) it’s certainly possible! X

I had mine and went into labour less than 12 hours later, all I did was get on my ball if you have one and go forward and back motion, did some bouncing too but was probably on the ball for over an hour aha 😂

After they did a check up that felt more like a sweep to me (super uncomfortable) I went into labor in 10 hours. During the whole day I felt discomfort after that checked but regardless of that I cleaned my whole house and that send me to labor 🤣🤣 so my advice clean your home, if doesn’t work it doesn’t hurt.

I did squats. But I ended up failing to progress at 2 cm even w her all the way down. But I was in start stall labor for nine weeks and my doctor told me at 39 weeks when contractions hit do squats I went from a 1 to a 2 in 2 days

The miles circuit (I think it’s called) it’s a series of stretches that helps it along and puts baby in the right position. Once I did it I went into labor the next day. I did have other signs and I just felt like my body was ready. So let the baby decide and once you feel that green light, go girl! Best of luck in delivery! Also I’ve heard pineapple, papaya, passion tea all help bring contractions, not good before 39 weeks tho, look into it but yeah!

I had 3 stretch and sweeps done over the course of a week and it didn't do much for me. At 40+5 they inserted gel up my cervix to help with dilation and they broke my waters. After that my body took over and bub was born at 40+6. They told me to do squats when I was in labour which was not that much fun but it definitely helped, because of the squats I got to deliver naturally. I hope your stretch and sweep helps for you! Definitely do some squats to get bubs head as low as possible. Good luck!!♥️

I had to sweep at 41 weeks and nothing happened so I had another sweep done at 42 weeks and one day and my water broke and I started having contractions two hours later

Are you sure you’re doing your curb walking it helps!😊

I had 2 sweeps (don’t think the dr did the 1st one properly) but when the midwife did the 2nd one I was in labour less than 24 hrs later
