We've been potty training since May and my little girl still has accidents sometimes and won't tell us. I've come to realise it's a much slower process than I originally thought. I'd stick with it x
Yeah I think to stop and start again would confuse her. Just keep at it and it will click at some point. It took my daughter a lot longer than I originally thought to toilet train too x
We did the oh crap method too, best advice from that book was to back off and not make it a big deal. I did it with my son and it was great! Just dropped a line like 'the pottys over there if you need it' then walk to another room and most of the time they will have used the potty no problem! Well that was my experience at least xxx
I started of buy asking every 30mins and I found my daughter got really annoyed and refused to sit on the potty. Now I've found I can ask her to sit on the potty every 2hrs and I usually read her potty time book and she'll go on potty and do the business. Asking too much has the opposite effects. Also a tip from my childminding mum a couple of toys or books only allowed on the potty or toilet helped to encourage to go to sit on potty
I’d say persevere as it does sound like you’re halfway there. It takes time to sink in for them, and they also get distracted.
