Weigh in

My son was weighed on monday at the doctors on a hard surface and weighed 5.4kg’s twice, he was weighed again today by a different doctor who weighed him on the bed and came out to be 6kg’s (the machine was going from 5kgs up to 6kgs) He’s barely been feeding and constantly throwing up, is this even possible to have gained this much in 3days? Could it have been wrong?

Supposed to be on the same scale.Using the same methods....

Think about when you would weigh yourself or anything you cook with - scales need to be on a flat surface to get an accurate reading. It's the same for babies although with baby scales they usually have to calibrate them to ensure it's going to be the most accurate and also usually put them on a flat surface. I'm sorry your little one isn't feeling well 😔 I hope he feels better soon

The scales should be on a hard flat surface ideally. Hospital beds are firm but they're still a bit wobbly. U leas they're throwing up a really, really large amount sickups usually look worse then they are.
