Not getting much when pumping

I pump once in the evening when my baby has a bottle, I don’t get much more than one ounce from each side after 20 minutes Does this mean I might have a low supply or quite common? Constantly worrying I’m not producing enough!

How old is your baby? My little girl is 8 days old and I’m having to triple feed her due to significant weight loss. I’ve been told in addition to our feeding routine to pump at least every three hours to help build my milk supply. Drink lots of fluids, water is the easiest! And eat a lot of protein and veggies. Google what’s best to eat/snack on to help build up your supply! I feel like I’m rushing to eat and drink a ton and then I get to sleep on my “shift” off, for 4-8 hours, depending on how tired my husband is. I desperately want my supply to increase too!

Try hot tea mama milks up, electrolytes once a day i buy tablets that go in water works wonders for milk supply but plenty of fluid and food but you got this don’t give up 🩵🥹🍼

also coconut water is amazing can buy that from most shops or coconut milk add it to oats in morning 🩵

Hey hun if you’re looking to boost your supply I’d recommend pumping after every feed. Obviously you know that breastfeeding is supply and demand so I tend to pump on one breast at the same time he’s feeding on the other one and once he’s done make sure to empty the breast he was drinking from! While you’re only getting little amounts you might benefit from the pitcher method (storing all milk from the same day in a special pitcher jug to then decant for freezing or bottles) Staying hydrated is so so so important there are lactation teas and snacks that you can try.
