Early morning thrashing

LG is 9 weeks old. Normally does a longer stint of sleep for about 4 - 5 hours. After that she wakes up hourly. When put her in bassinet (asleep) at night time she is fine. But during from about 4 in the morning a time I set her down I the bassinet she goes wild thrashing about kicking her legs in air and throwing her arms around. It wakes her up within seconds. This isn't active sleep as she wakes up and cries for help. Once settled she is completely fine lying on me but if I atte ot the bassinet again we start the thrashing again. I'm wondering if it's possibly wind or reflux annoying her when she's on her back but i do t know how to tackle tht that throughout the night. I do try to hold her 10 - 20 mins after a feed as upright as possible which is normally her lying chest to chest on me as I sit up. Anyone else experienced this and any ideas how to help it to get some extra sleep?

Have you tried a swaddle? My little girl was so active that she'd wake herself up and get extremely upset but since swaddling she sleeps well!

We tried swaddle sleeping bags when she was younger but she didn't like her arms being stuck. Although I don't think it would help in this situation anyway as she thrashes her legs around too. Its the leg thrashing that makes her start to move her arms. It feels a bit late to try swaddling again as won't be long before she starts looking to roll.

My boy is the same. During the night until 5-6 am, he will sleep, wake up for feed and fall asleep, and sleep in his next to me. But after 5 a.m., if he falls asleep, he wakes himself. So, since he was 2 weeks old, I put him in my bed, and I make sure he is safe and we both will sleep for a couple of hours. Otherwise, both of us would be restless 🤷‍♀️😊
