You could have a subchorionic haematoma. Stay on your meds just in case. And keep testing. If your line gets lighter and fades then sadly you have your answer. Main thing is don’t stop your meds til you know for sure!!! Hoping it turns out ok for you!!!!
Amazing news. Hoping everything is ok!!!!
Hi yes I experienced period like bleeding and HCG rising and it was ectopic, please make sure you get it checked out x
@Ruby I’m sorry to hear that! Did you have any pain with your Ectopic? Just because I’m not experiencing any. Just the bleeding and a dull ache/heaviness in my lower abdomen
@Hannah hi no no pain at all and my periods are usually really painful (post ectopic surgery they are now not painful 🙏🏻) but before it they were so I was confused , got myself straight to my GP as my test was really dark and was getting 1-2 on a digital then later got 2-3 etc and they referred me to EPU who looked after me from then on, mine also didn’t behave ectopic either, my blood tests were doubling/more than doubling as usual with a healthy pregnancy and bleeding just randomly stopped like a tap was turned off and it only lasted 4 days like a normal period! And only on the day my surgery was scheduled which was about 16 days later did I randomly bleed again and begin to ache, I was very close to rupturing but luckily didn’t xx
@Ruby Scary stuff! I’m so sorry that happened to you! I managed to fight for an urgent blood test tomorrow at my GP surgery. Hopefully results don’t take too long to come back. In the meantime, I’m still testing with cheap stick daily. So far they’re holding strong. This worry is nightmarish!
@Hannah I hope all is okay? Make sure you push for repeat blood tests and a scan at 5 weeks then 6! That’s when they saw mine in my right tube dead on 6 weeks 1 day and surgery was at 6 weeks 2 days and they were surprised it hadn’t ruptured as it was a healthy pregnancy in a tiny tube 😵💫😵💫 xx
HCG stays in your system and can take a few days to come down. You’ll need to keep testing, if the tests get lighter than unfortunately it does seem like a chemical pregnancy/ early loss. If the tests get darker then it’s likely you’re still pregnant. With it being so early there isn’t anything the clinic can do. A scan won’t show very much yet. If you get any more pain / pain in the shoulder specifically see someone immediately. So Sorry, it’s a bit of a limbo stage. I’ve had both a chemical pregnancy and a missed miscarriage both from ivf/icsi. It’s honestly just 💩 If the outcome isn’t what you want take some time to grieve and be kind to yourself. The whole process of ivf is traumatic emotionally.
