My son was doing this too, what helped of lots of messy play, so playing with sand, foam, water etc. And then lots of finger foods for him to try and even weetabix with a spoon (it got everywhere 😅) when he does get food on his hand make it fun stay positive don’t clean his hands straight away!
@Rallii we’ve tried messy play and he doesn’t like to either he just screams the place down 🥲 My mother and sister have autism though so I’m honestly just expecting this for my son as he shows other signs for it too, but obviously too young to know for now x
My lo will take lumpy puree when I spoon feed him but will just play with his food in the bowl or plate and never put it to his mouth. He used to hold a spoon & put it to his mouth sometimes but will now only Chuck it on the floor. The only solid foods I can get him to hold & eat himself are the puffs
