Whooping Cough Jab

I have mine this afternoon and just wondered how bad the dead arm is and how long it lasts? Just trying to work out which side I want to sacrifice sleeping on 😅

I haven’t had mine this time yet, but with my first pregnancy I remember feeling really off it for the afternoon/evening after and plan to take paracetamol straight after this time! What’s good enough for babies jabs is good enough for me 😂 I do remember a bit of a dead arm but not too much and it was worse the next day I think! Xx

I had mine a few weeks ago and had a bit of an achey arm but apart from that nothing major!

Hiya, I had mine this week and didn't experience any heaviness or side effects after, although I'm sure everyone is different

I would say if you're concerned maybe get it in the arm that is your non dominant hand as you will have a choice :)

I had mine a few weeks ago, barely hurt at all and didn't get a dead arm so 🤞 you're the same!

I had mine a couple weeks ago, absolutely fine didn’t get a dead arm surprisingly. Was a bit achy but that was it. I was dreading it. But went all ok ☺️ Xx

I had mine a few days ago, arm is still slightly achey but nothing major 😇

Had mine yesterday arms achy and a little sore to the touch but it’s not that bad. Was told to have it on my right side as Im supposed to be sleeping on my left side for blood flow

Mine was for a day then absolutely fine xx

No dead arm or side effects here. Realised I had a bruise a few days after and remembered what from but was nothing too bad. Needle tiny too so didn’t feel it x

I didn’t feel a thing and had no side effects, maybe a little tired but that could just have been pregnancy related 😂. My arm was slightly achy but only in the evening and was gone by the morning x

Mine was yesterday and a bit sore still and bruised! Assume it will still be a bit tender to sleep on tonight x

Didn't get a dead arm to be honest, was slightly sore

The midwife said it won't make you feel ill as it's not a live vaccine. I did have a sore and achy arm for a couple of days though so I'd recommend getting it on the opposite side to where you tend to sleep

Thanks everyone ☺️
