From September you might get the funded 15 hours but if it's like our childminder fees have gone up ! Ours was 75 a day but will be 88 although we negotiated down from 96 a day (only 9-5)
1212 for 3 days a week 🥲
1550, 5 days a week
All working parents should get 15 hours unless you earn too much, what about a preschool setting 9-12 session or 1-4 or something x
1500 5 days for us too
£80 per day I think we’ll pay, haven’t started yet
Unfortunately we won’t get anything as both me and my partner are here in the Uk on visas. We can apply for indefinite leave to remain next year and if we get approved we can start applying for benefits but until then we are struggling 😫
I’m in Edgware, and our nursery is around £110 per day for a one year old. Was roughly the same when I lived in Greenwich.
Pimlico, £130 per day. Nappies etc not included 🤯
@Caitlyn there so much confusion about this funding hours. I am in same boat as you. So many people told me all working parents irrespective of there visa status should get 15 hours funding. I am not getting perfect answer yet.
@Amruta it’s not all working parents. Both parents do need to be working but neither can earn more than £100k.
Sarah is correct @Amruta should not earn more than 100k each parent including bonuses
If you’re working you should get 15 hours from September https://educationhub.blog.gov.uk/2024/07/26/how-to-claim-15-hours-free-childcare-code/ and you can also get tax free childcare https://www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare
Ours is quite ‘good value’ but is still £710 for two days a week (per month). It’s £568 after tax free childcare payment and will go down to £410 from September with the free hours

Husband and I will be paying £2700 for our 6-month old in Battersea for daycare (5 days a week). We’re also not entitled to any benefits. It hurts
In Hertfordshire we’re paying £93 per day
£126 a day. 2 full days a week for us is £1008-1260 a month depending on it being a 4/5 week month.
@patricia nappies not included?? That’s insane
@patricia mine is in Pimlico/westminster too but my costs includes nappies, food, milk, sun cream, everything.
Two days a week, £600 a month included nappies, and days out for him too. Mines more of a childminder come nursery. She’s based in Downham I love her. Her team are amazing.
@Sarah food and milk included but the rest are not. We've seen a few nurseries in the area and the one we should felt the perfect fit for us but it is insane how expensive childcare is 🤯
I'm just coming out of the other end of nursery fees. We are south east London. we pay roughly £1400 a month, that's with free childcare hours
Clapham and we pay around £1500 for 3 days but with the funded hours (15) it’s gone down to £1108. It will go down again in September as we’ll get the 30 funded hours which will bring it down to around £800. Hope that helps x
Honestly it's so expensive. I started work back in Feb 2024 and I'm going to cut down on hours in September because I'm working full time to pay for nursery LITERALLY. No point, stay with your baby instead of paying someone else to do exactly your job! It's not worth it.
