Do you usually put you somewhere in your borough? And how long do they keep you there for ? 🥺 I’m scared I have a toddler as well.

A sibling has , that was a possibility for me too , can be wherever is available , if you have family that support you they’ll try keep you in the borough x my sister was in temp for about 9 months however this was some time ago and things have changed xx

Could you not private rent ? With help xx

I don’t currently work is that an option for me ? And do you private rent yourself ?

I don’t either , I’m on uc. I was facing homelessness and the council found me a place to private rent. They pay 2 months rent upfront and then uc takes over so your money is upped to cover rent and bills , I’m currently waiting to get the keys xx

@Sophie sorry hun I’m confused are you waiting for the keys to your private rental or an actual council place ? And how long did it take to get a private rental place ? Do they send you temp to a hostel ? 🥺 with a child ?

Waiting for the keys to private rented property, they found me a 1 bed for me and my toddler but I’m more than grateful to have something ! All in all about a month ish , no they didn’t with me xxx
