Hey! Unfortunately the negatives far outweighed the positives if I did not get it done right away. The OB recommended I get it due to drastic weight loss and 5 visits to the er in 15 days. The pain I went through alone could have caused a huge stressor on the baby in third and I got it done at 23 weeks. Many women do. Not safe in third but considered safe in second. Went well and I feel soooo much better!! No pain meds except opioids helps gallstones when you’re in the level of pain I was in from it passing. My BP was sky rocketing and I was vomiting in the ER many many times. Not hathy for the baby
Hey I have a gallstone, I had some attacks during pregnancy but the docs recommended no surgery during pregnancy because it was not safe (I am getting key hole surgery). I am 4months postpartum and I hav my procedure next week. My doc recommended me pain medication to help with the gallstone attacks during pregnancy. Ask your doc for some good pain medication. Wht kind of procedure did ur doc recommend to get ur gallbladder out? I personally would wait till after u have had ur baby.
