Debrief

Hey all, I’m in the process of scheduling a birth debrief and was wondering if anybody on here has had one and if it helped them at all? Curious also how long your session lasted and generally what it was like so I know what to expect - I had my baby at Medway maritime so I’m esp interested in anybody who has had a birth debrief who had their baby there too Thank you! ♥️

I’m not local to you at all but I had a debrief and it was very helpful. I was in and out of it the whole experience and was thrown a lot of interventions as well as losing lots of blood. They were able to inform me of everything from start to finish and allowed me to ask any questions which they happily answered for me. It helped me process the trauma and everything that I missed - it was also helpful to my husband as he was the one who had to advocate for me a lot of the time and afterwards he got overwhelmed and anxious that he’d made some wrong calls (which he didn’t and he knew my wishes well). The session lasted a good 45-60mins?

Hi - I had a debrief at Medway, lasted around an hour maybe? They have all your notes to hand and talk you through what happened and explain why it went the way it did or answer any questions you may have x

I had a birthday debrief post giving birth at Medway and unfortunately for me it didn't answer any of my questions. The lady was very kind though, visited me at home and spent about an hour with me
