That’s really helpful, thank you! X
I did one before my successful fet that picked up I have BV, I had no symptoms. I’ve just done another one with Daye and results have come back good.
@Hollie did you have the test at the clinic or just with daye? X
First one I did invivo and second daye. None through the clinic x
@Hollie thank you xx
which one do you mean? gut? vaginal? endometrial? most useful is the latter, but it’s invasive (requires biopsy), costly and recommended by some clinics for recurring miscarriages. Vaginal is somewhat pointless in comparison to endometrial as they tend to be different. I was considering Invivo and Daye vaginal tests, but at the end doing only Emma/Alice recommended by my consultant for my case. https://www.perplexity.ai/search/evidence-which-analyses-vagina-4LUJrJ6nTEWteBuOTQu3HA
@Maria my clinic have recommended vagina. Why do you think they’re somewhat pointless? Out of interest?
@Charlotte apparently vaginal and endometrial microbiome can be different. Vaginal microbiome is valuable for your health. Have a look at the link I posted above. As your embryo will be in your womb, the microbiome of the womb matters more. That’s my understanding of the subject. Of course follow the advice of your doctor.
I was told by a nutritionist I’m now working with that vaginal is a good indicator or the endometrial microbiome so probably going to give that a go
Yes I did, about 2 months before starting IVF, as unexplained so was trying to find root cause if possible. It flagged a couple of things, not fertility related, that I was able to clear up with antibiotics before the IVF cycle. In my opinion, it was worth it for peace of mind and not hugely expensive vs the cost of IVF/other tests
